Group Commander with Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service Geoff Somerville is calling on the public to condemn the attack. “Our fire fighters work tirelessly for the whole community saving lives and protecting properties. They do this on a daily basis without fear or favour. We appeal to the entire community to condemn such attacks and to actively seek an end to these senseless attacks on firefighters”.

“Our thoughts are with those firefighters injured last night and we wish them a speedy recovery”, he said.
