Tributes are being paid by ambulance personnel for one of their colleagues who passed-away yesterday.
The death was announced yesterday of Ronan O’ Keeney, Spierstown, Clar, Donegal Town who died peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Ronan was an Advanced Paramedic with the National Ambulance Service.
NASRA, the National Ambulance Service Representative Association said Ronan was ‘a much admired and respected member of the National Ambulance Service. He will be sadly missed and always remembered by everyone who knew him.’
Colleagues at Ballyshannon Ambulance station said “Ronan was a gentleman and a first class practitioner who cared for so many during his years of service. He will be sorely missed by so many and we extend our deepest sympathies to his wife Breege and son Ross and to his extended family and friends.”
Ambulance personnel across the various regions have also left messages of condolences on their personal and work-related social media platforms.

Ronan is remembered by his loving wife Breege, his son Ross, Parents Brendan & Ellen, brothers and sisters Eileen, Sandra, Sharon, Dessie & Paul. Ronan is predeceased by his son Darren, sister Fionnuala, brothers Brendan, Martin & nephew, Bryan.
Remains reposing at his late residence. Remains leaving his residence on Monday at 10:30am for funeral Mass at 11 am in St Agatha’s Church, Clar, with burial immediately afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Full details on rip.ie
