Date Published : September 10th, 2016 Published By : adminA search for a man missing since the Rose of Tralee festival in County Kerry continues with the Civil Defence and Gardaí.
Willie Mulvihill was last seen in the Tralee area on Sunday 21st August. Search teams are concentrating their efforts on locating Mr. Mulvihill in the Kielduff area near Tralee. Local gardaí and Kerry Civil Defence are being assisted by civil defence teams from counties Galway, Clare, Laois and South Cork.
Land search teams and Swift Water Rescue Teams are involved in the search. Three drones are also being used and the K-9 unit from Laois.
In a statement to Emergency Times this evening, Paul Baynham, Operations Manager with Kerry Civil Defence said "Each day search managers have deployed from Kerry Civil Defence along with our volunteers. The inter-agency control unit is used each day of the search to coordinate the search areas and we have been utilising TETRA and tracking device software"
The Civil Defence Welfare Unit is used on a daily basis.
Search Managers Tom Brick and Caroline McConnell are liaising with the Gardaí while both the Civil Defence Officer Tom Brosnan and Operations Manager Paul Baynham are coordinating the management aspect of the search.
Anyone with information on the missing person are asked to contact Ballybunion Garda station on 068-27104, or any garda station.
