Date Published : June 9th, 2021 Published By : adminDublin City Council has awarded the tender for the provision of Medical and First Aid consumables for Dublin Fire Brigade to Lennox, a scientific, industrial and laboratory solutions company.
The three-year tender will see Lennox supply Dublin Fire Brigade’s 15 fire stations and other Dublin City Council departments with vital medical supplies on a weekly basis.
In addition to providing a dedicated online ordering system, Lennox will also create and deliver a bespoke reporting system called LennoxLIVE. This system will allow DFB and DCC management to analysis real-time dashboards of product orders, station by station or depot by depot.
Lennox was founded in Dublin in 1923 and employs 60 people across two sites in Dublin and Cork.
Welcoming the news, Richard Hedderman, ACFO at Dublin Fire Brigade said “We are delighted to be working with Lennox to keep our stations, ambulances and front-line staff stocked with a reliable supply of high quality medical and first aid consumables. Lennox’s demonstrated dedication to customer service, the dedicated reporting and ordering portals and their extensive infrastructure meant that we knew we would be in safe hands. We look forward to building this relationship over the coming months.”

It’s core business streams include technical services, chemicals, consumables, single-use systems, equipment and PPE. Lennox was named ‘Laboratory Supplier of the Year at the Irish Laboratory Awards in 2019.

The recent investment in their warehousing, capacity and delivery fleet will ensure Lennox can facilitate the fast turnaround and sufficient stocks needed by DFB and can accommodate emergency deliveries 24/7, 365.
