Handmade face mask proceeds raise €2500 for Meath River Rescue

Meath River Rescue has received a generous donation from the sale of handmade face masks.

Local woman, Ita McDermott, Crossakiel has been making fancy face masks for the last few months to raise much needed fund for the river rescue volunteers in Meath.



Ita presented a cheque for €2,500 to the team at the Meath River Rescue base at Beechmount Home Park, Navan during a socially distant presentation.

The river rescue team which mainly cover the Rivers Boyne and Blackwater were delighted with their latest donation.

Meath River Rescue said the proceeds will go towards the day-to-day operational costs of running the unit and updating life-saving equipment.
