Gardaí in Carlow are appealing for the public’s help in tracing a man who evaded arrest last night when two others were arrested.The arrests were made in connection with a robbery which took place at a Post Office in Leighlinbridge, between Carlow town and Bagenalstown, Co. Carlow.
The raid took place yesterday.

It’s believed a man threatened staff and made off with a sum of money from the post office. According to local radio, KCLR96FM, this is the third such robbery at the post office in two months.
Gardai stopped a car while on patrol last night at around 7pm. Two men were arrested and are being held in garda custody while a third man escaped through a wooded area in Seskinrae in Old Leighlin.
Gardai are appealing for the public assistance.
