Gardaí appeal for assistance following Cork fire

Gardaí­ are investigating a fire at Vernon Mount, in Douglas in Cork city which occurred about 9.30pm last night,  Sunday 24th July.

Emergency Services responded to the scene. The building was engulfed in flames and subsequently very badly damaged.

Gardaí­ have preserved the scene and a forensic technical examination will be carried out today.

Gardaí believe a number of people may have been in the area at the time and they would like these people to come forward to assist with the investigation.
