Firefighetrs van stolen from Enniscorthy fire station

A retained firefighters van was reported stolen from outside Enniscorthy fire station, Co. Wexford.

The White Volks Wagon Caddy van was parked outside the front door of the fire station last night. The registration of the stolen van is 06 WX 8196. The owner, Retained firefighter Danny Dunbar has appealed for anyone who may see the van to contact the gardaí. His tools were in the van when stolen.

CCTV footage recorded a woman removing the van from the fire station area. IN an appeal on his Facebook page, FF Dunbar said 'From the CCTV footage it looks like it was a woman who stole it. She was seen getting into the van at 02.56 and driving away from the fire station taking a left and heading towards the 1798 centre at 03.28. All my tools were in the back of the van.'

The owner has offered a reward for information leading to the recovery of the stolen van or tools.

The female suspect is wearing glasses and appears to have a pony-tail. She wore a clack trousers, black footwear and a lighter coloured waist length coat. There appears to be a crest or emblem on the right arm sleeve of the coat. She walked around the fire station car park for a short while before checking the rear doors of the van. She then managed to get into the van from the passenger side door at 02.56am.
