Date Published : December 1st, 2016 Published By : adminIreland’s retained firefighters have produced their first calendar. The National Retained Firefighters Association (NRFA) has teamed up with renowned photo-journalist and broadcaster Pat Flynn from Ennis, Co. Clare to produce a calendar with some of the finest fire related photos published.
Pat has covered hundreds of incidents over the years involving the emergency and voluntary services and those at Shannon Airport. While many of his photos capture jubilant ‘action shots’, more others have indeed covered tragic stories and ones which have been published in national media.
The NRFA are delighted and proud to present a series of photographs taken by Pat Flynn over the years involving Retained Brigades.
The calendar is on sale from the NRFA website www.nrfa.ie at a cost of just €10.00 and all proceeds go towards the Irish Fire Service Benevolent Fund.
Richard Kelly, Secretary of the NRFA spoke to Emergencytimes.ie last week and outlined the cause of the calendar. “The Fire Service Benevolent Fund was set up by the NRFA to assist its members or their next-of-kin financially at a difficult time when dealing with the loss of either spouse. We are hoping this calendar, which has some outstanding photos and images in it helps us raise those much needed funds for the benevolent fund should the worst ever happen.”
The NRFA has said there is a limited stock available, so get your order in early.
