Fatal Fire in Meath: 1 person dead, 2 others injured

One man has died, another man and a woman were injured following a fire at a house in County Meath this morning.

The fire was reported at about 8.15am. Emergency services attended the scene of the fire at a house on Archdeaconry Glebe, Kells, Co. Meath.

Two men and a woman, all aged in their 40’s were taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Navan following the fire where one of the men was pronounced dead.

The other two people remain in hospital, however gardaí have said they are understood not to be seriously injured.

A Garda Technical team is at the scene and the house remains sealed off and enquiries are ongoing.
